Book with Mila

Mila has 18 years of experience, including a decade in perinatal mental health at Mount Sinai Hospital, before founding the practice. Her approach is warm and empathetic, and she works especially well with people who are capable everywhere else in their life and quietly falling apart in this one part of it.

How I work

I work with anxiety and depression that often has something older underneath it: unresolved trauma, strain at work or in a relationship, or a long-standing problem with self-esteem. A lot of the people I see are high achievers whose confidence is quietly affecting their work, their relationships and how much they enjoy any of it.

In perinatal work I see infertility, grief, and mood difficulties through pregnancy and postpartum. Becoming a parent can be rewarding and difficult and emotionally mixed all at once. My aim is to help you make sense of your own experience and feel like yourself again.

In couples work my focus is the relationship rather than either person in it. We make space for each of you to say why you are here, and we work on becoming parents, communication, boundaries with extended family, and rebuilding after a breach of trust.

What the first session is like

You do not need to prepare anything or have your history in order. We will talk about what brought you here now, what you want to be different, and I will be honest about whether I am the right person for it.

Away from the work

Mila has travelled to more than fifty countries, a habit that started with moving often as a child. Outside work she is with family and friends, usually outdoors.

Ontario's colleges do not permit therapists to publish client testimonials, or to ask for them. Everything above is independently checkable. You can confirm any clinician's registration on the public register at ocswssw.org or crpo.ca.

What if she is not the right fit for me?

Tell us after the first session and you can switch to another therapist on our team at any time. Just let us know. Mila would rather you saw the right person than stayed with her.

Is she taking new clients?

She is taking new clients, with openings this week. If that timing does not work, six other therapists here cover overlapping areas. Compare them side by side.

All questions people ask us

You can change your mind

If after the first session you would rather work with someone else, you can switch to another therapist on our team at any time. Just let us know, and you do not have to explain why. Fit is one of the strongest predictors of whether therapy works, so getting it wrong once is ordinary.
