Book with Annie

Annie brings warmth, compassion and a collaborative spirit to her work with individuals and couples, across infertility, perinatal loss, anxiety, depression and relationship stress.

How I work

My work is shaped by my clinical training and by my own experience of infertility, pregnancy loss and surrogacy. Clients often tell me it is a relief to be somewhere they do not have to explain or justify what they are feeling.

I draw on CBT and DBT, and I adjust each session to what you need and what you are working toward rather than running you through a program.

Outside of sessions I have facilitated peer groups for people going through surrogacy, and volunteered as a helpline peer supporter with the Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support Centre. I think connection and shared experience are a real part of how people recover.

What the first session is like

I will ask what stage you are at and what is actually pressing, because fertility timelines do not wait for therapy to warm up. If you are here for implications counselling rather than ongoing therapy, we will cover your clinic's requirements properly and you will know what happens with the paperwork before we finish.

Away from the work

Outside of work Annie reads and watches science fiction and fantasy, crochets, and spends time with her family.

Ontario's colleges do not permit therapists to publish client testimonials, or to ask for them. Everything above is independently checkable. You can confirm any clinician's registration on the public register at ocswssw.org or crpo.ca.

What if she is not the right fit for me?

Tell us after the first session and you can switch to another therapist on our team at any time. Just let us know. Annie would rather you saw the right person than stayed with her.

Is she taking new clients?

She is taking new clients, usually within the week. If that timing does not work, six other therapists here cover overlapping areas. Compare them side by side.

You can change your mind

If after the first session you would rather work with someone else, you can switch to another therapist on our team at any time. Just let us know, and you do not have to explain why. Fit is one of the strongest predictors of whether therapy works, so getting it wrong once is ordinary.
