Book with Emilie

Emilie brings ten years of hospital social work, including maternal health, to her work with new and expecting parents. She's practical and warm, and especially helpful when pregnancy or a new baby collides with everything else: work, blended families, co-parenting or separation.

How I work

I’m a great fit if you want a practical, skills-focused approach. Whether this is your first time in therapy or you’ve done some before and now want tools, I’ll help you build them.

My focus is prenatal and postpartum mental health, and alongside it blended family dynamics, co-parenting, divorce and separation. We work on communication strategies, boundaries, and coping you can actually use.

My practice is holistic and inclusive, and it starts from the strengths and capacities you already have rather than from what is missing.

I want sessions to feel warm and supportive, a place where you can be honest about what’s hard.

What the first session is like

I will ask what you want to be able to do differently, in concrete terms, and we will build from there. Expect to leave the first session with something to try rather than only something to think about.

Away from the work

Outside of work Emilie plays hockey, walks, travels and tries new food. Her two cats, Zola and Pickles, remind her to take breaks.

Ontario's colleges do not permit therapists to publish client testimonials, or to ask for them. Everything above is independently checkable. You can confirm any clinician's registration on the public register at ocswssw.org or crpo.ca.

What if she is not the right fit for me?

Tell us after the first session and you can switch to another therapist on our team at any time. Just let us know. Emilie would rather you saw the right person than stayed with her.

Is she taking new clients?

She is taking new clients, usually within the week. If that timing does not work, six other therapists here cover overlapping areas. Compare them side by side.

You can change your mind

If after the first session you would rather work with someone else, you can switch to another therapist on our team at any time. Just let us know, and you do not have to explain why. Fit is one of the strongest predictors of whether therapy works, so getting it wrong once is ordinary.
