Book with Caroline

Caroline has eleven years of counselling experience supporting women and their partners through fertility, pregnancy, loss and the early months of parenthood. She's especially skilled at helping people manage big emotions, and she makes a point of asking partners how they're doing too.

How I work

I work collaboratively to build a plan that fits your actual needs and goals rather than a standard one, and I integrate evidence-based approaches into that.

I’m trained in DBT, which gives you practical skills for managing strong emotions: overwhelm, irritability, or the feeling that you’re about to snap. It’s especially helpful during pregnancy and the early months, when sleep is short and everything feels bigger.

Much of my work is with women and their partners through the perinatal period: infertility, pregnancy and infant loss, mood changes during pregnancy, and postpartum depression and anxiety. If you are the partner, you have probably spent months being asked how she is. I will ask how you are.

I also work with young adults on anxiety, depression, self-esteem, emotion regulation and relationships, which often carries straight through into becoming a parent.

What the first session is like

I put trust and rapport first, so the early sessions are about making this somewhere you can actually say things. I will ask what you have been carrying and who, if anyone, has asked you about it.

Outside of work Caroline stays active, spends time with family and friends, and explores new places, from local hikes to trips abroad.

Ontario's colleges do not permit therapists to publish client testimonials, or to ask for them. Everything above is independently checkable. You can confirm any clinician's registration on the public register at ocswssw.org or crpo.ca.

You can change your mind
